A
Examine standing and lying down
3mm+ in diameter when standing
Assess for chronic venous insufficiency
-skin hyperpigmentation
- venous eczema
- atrophie blanche

When should we investigate?
A
If concerned
Doppler US for ?DVT

What is the management?
A
Reassurance
Reduce risk factors e.g. weight loss avoid prolonged sitting or standing
Compression stockings

When should we refer to vascular surgery?
A
Associated pain/itching/swelling
Lower limb skin changes
Superficial vein thrombosis
Ulceration
