A

Random sampling- divide study area into a grid, use random numbers chart to generate coordinates

How is chance removed from a sample

A

Use larger sample size- the more individuals, the smaller the probability that chance will influence the result, so more reliable

Analysis of data collected- statistic test used, determine the extent to which chance influenced the data
