Criteria for AKI (3)
Rise in creatinine by 26 or > in 48hrs
>=50% rise in creatinine over 7 days
Fall in urine output to <0.5ml/kg/hr for more than 6 hours in adults and 8hrs in children
Stage 1 AKI (creatinine and uo)
Increase in creatinine by 1.5 to 1.9 times baseline
Reduction in uo to <0.5 ml kg hr for >=6hrs
Stage 2 AKI (creatinine and uo)
Increase in creatinine by 2.0-2.9 times baseline
Reduction in uo to <0.5 ml kg hr for >=12hrs
Stage 3 AKI (creatinine and uo)
Increase in creatinine by >=3.0 times baseline
Reduction in uo to <0.3 ml kg hr for >=24hrs

Initiation if kidney replacement therapy

65 Aged >= 65 years
0: low risk treatment at home
1 or 2: intermediate risk- hospital assessment should be considered (particularly for people with a score of 2)’
3 or 4: high risk- urgent admission to hospital
