A dead or weakened version of the pathogen carrying antigens.

How does a vaccine work?
A
Vaccine enters the body and triggers the immune system
White blood cells produce antibodies to attack the microbes
The microbe is harmless so it is destroyed quickly
The body now has defence by memory cells for future infection

Helps to control communicable diseases that are common
