Definition 1:

• Well liked by many people (e.g. Taylor Swift)
• Pr: Quantity

Definiton 2:

• Leftovers of high culture (things that fail to meet the standards of high culture are popular culture)
• Pr: high culture requires some sort of test

Definiton 3:

• Mass culture (commerical culture, capitilasim, mass consumption)
• consumers in collective dreamworld
• formulaic
• Pr: mass culture imposed from above

• folk culture: for the poeple by the people
• culture is not imposed from above, but created from below (local food, musicians)
• Romanticism of working class culutre
