A
  1. Dysuria (pain/burning stinging when peeing)
  2. Nocturia (frequent urination at night)
  3. Haematuria (blood in urine)
  4. Urgency
  5. Increased frequency urinating
  6. Tender / pain in Abdomen
  7. Cloudy/offensive smelling Urine

Management

A
  1. Advise on self care - Stay hydrated , wipe front to back , avoid cranberry alkalizing products / don’t delay urination.
  2. Medication = Antibiotics , dependent on severity - Send urine sample off for testing.

Try modified released of nitrofuranatoin for 3 days (100mg) 2x
or Penecillan or Fosmycin - 1 dose.
