Q

What happens at point 1

A

Initially we get a lot of product formed rapidly= rate of reaction is fast
- because we have a high conc of reactants and a high freq of effective collisions

Q

What happens at point 2

A

Overtime the reaction slows down
- because hcl is reacting, the conc of hcl is decreasing. This means that hcl is the limitting reactant so the freq of collisions is reduced

Q

What happens at point 3

A

Reaction stops eventually + no more product is formed
- because all of the hcl is reacted and there are no more effective collisions
