Q

Design Elements UID: Colour?

A
  • Colour itself should be used consistently

23
Q

A

The layouts between individual pages should be consistent in order for the user to navigate confidently.

24
Q

Design Elements UID: Hierarchy?

A

Using position and relative size, a designer can indicate the importance of information on the screen.

25
Design Elements UID: Emphasis?
- An interface should reflect the appropriate emphasis to be placed on the headings, body text and images within it. - Do this by varying their size, positioning and colour
26
Design Elements UID: Balance?
Balance the screen elements symmetrically, as if they had physical weight on a flat plane. This makes them more comfortable to view and easier to browse or navigate through.
27
Design Elements UID: White Space?
- Space that surrounds the elements. - White space is used to: - Help the eye scan a design/text - Increase legibility and readability - Create a certain aesthetic/mood
28
Design Elements UID: Unity?
Creating cohesive visuals which work together to create one connected piece
29
Design Elements UID: Proximity?
- Structure and positioning of elements on a page or layout which establishes a visual link - This groups related elements together
