- swimmer deployments lower than 15 feet AGL
- night takeoffs, approaches, and landings (except one-time landing following failure)
- automatic approaches to a hover
- simulated emergency procedures, including practice autorotations

Communications Subsystem Backup and Failure Modes

- Single Mission Computer Failure (AMC operational and AC Power) - No impact on ICS or radios
- 1553 Data Bus Fail (AMC Operational; AC Power) - Both MC fail or 1553 data bus fail; no impact on ICS; control through RCU and OCP (C/S with RCU; No DF or RELAY)
- AMC or OCP Fail (MSN COMP operational) - RAD 1 to pilot; RAD 2 to copilot; control by RCU; ICS call to all
- Battery Mode (AC Power fail) - RAD 1 to pilot; ICS PTT (fixed) to pilots
