Where can an IO be inserted?
Any bone with a marrow cavity. Femur, proximal tibia, ileac crest, sternum, and humerus.

False. Recommended dosage for IOI is identical to that of IV.
Where should you NOT place an IO?
In a limb with vascular injury, compartment syndrome, significant soft tissue infection, or in a fractured bone.
Once a bone has been punctured by an IO attempt, can it be used again?
NO!
What are two advantages of the BIG?
Ease of use and short insertion time.
