IDENTIFY WHEN DEADLY FORCE IS OBJECTIVELY REASONABLE
THERE IS PROBABLE CAUSE THAT THE SUSPECT POSES A SIGNIFICANT THREAT OF DEATH OR SERIOUS PHYSICAL HARM TO THE MSG OR OTHERS, AND A WARNING IS GIVEN
IDENTIFY LEGAL ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF INTERMEDIATE WEAPONS
WHEN USING BATONS/OC SPRAY, A REASONABLE MSG COULD BELIEVE THAT THE INTERMEDIATE WEAPON WAS NEEDED TO DETER THE SUBJECT’S THREAT, OVERCOME HIS ACTIVE RESISTANCE, OR STOP HIS FLIGHT AND GAIN CONTROL OF THE SUBJECT
