Miriam Adelson (Honorary Trustee)
- Israeli American philanthropist, and doctor.
- Married Sheldon in 1991 (2nd husband) and has since become a prominent Republican Party donor. People say she runs the political show and he listens to whatever she says.
- Founder of Dr. Miriam & Sheldon Adelson Clinic for Drug Abuse Treatment; Research in Las Vegas.
- Parents escaped Nazi Poland to Israel. She is very dedicated to Israel has donated millions to Trump campaign to push her Israeli foreign policy agenda (like the Embassy move).
- Trump recently awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom
Wallis Annenberg (Life Trustee)
- Chair, President, and CEO, Annenberg Foundation
- Daughter of publishing magnate Walter Hubert Annenberg.
- Her stepmother Leonore left the leadership of the Annenberg Foundation to Wallis and three of her children: Lauren, Gregory, and Charles in March 2009.
- Wallis Annenberg today carries on her father’s legacy as a public benefactor and donates the family name and fortune to philanthropic projects, largely to benefit Los Angeles County.

- Was the CEO of Boskovich Farms Inc. – one of North America’s largest growers and shippers of fresh produce which was worth billions when he left. Was Chairman of Grower Shipper Association, and major in the farming/shipping world.

- Former Chairman of the US Securities & Exchange Commission, a 17-year Republican Congressman, and member of the White House staff in the Reagan Administration

- Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee in the House of Reps (obviously he has A LOT about his time as a Congressman and Chairman that I won’t get into).

- A founder of Telemundo and Spanish KVEA-TV where he was VP and general manager.

- Founded the NASW Communications Network Inc., which provided the media and entertainment industries with information and resources for social issues
- Dworak-Peck serves as chair of the School of Social Work Board of Councilors.

- Real estate developer was president of American Housing Guild, director of National Multi-Housing Council, started an apartment developer in Dallas.

- Was previously the 11th chancellor, and the 29th chief executive, of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the first woman to hold the post.

- She graduated from UCSB in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in aquatic biology, then a master’s degree in biology from UCSB, and a doctorate in ecology from UC Davis in 1982.

- Widow of Louis Galen, successful banker
- They have given around $50 million to USC (hence the Galen Basketball area is named after him which he basically funded).
- She lives in Rancho Mirage and gives a lot of money to schools and the arts in the Palm Desert area.
Stanley P. Gold (Life Trustee)
- President & CEO of Shamrock Holdings, Roy E. Disney’s private investment company.
- Was on the Walt Disney Co’s board of director. He and Roy resigned to publicly campaign to oust then CEO and Chairman Michael Eisner.
- Past Chairman of the board of trustees at USC and the Law School,
- Graduated from UCLA and earned a law degree from USC.
- Pledged $100,000 to USC’s Institute of Armenian Studies.
Jane Harman (Honorary Trustee)
- Director, Pres, CEO, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars
- Former U.S. Rep for California’s 36th district as a Democrat was ranking Dem on Homeland Security’s intelligence subcommittee
- Father escaped Nazi Germany
- Law degree from Harvard; taught at Georgetown Univ.
- Served as special counsel to Dept. of Defense under Carter White House
- Entered California gubernatorial race in 1998, but lost Dem nomination to Gray Davis.
- 2nd husband was Sidney Harman, an audio pioneer. He retired, bought Newsweek Magazine in 2010 and founded The Academy for Polymathic Study at USC, died in 2011.
- Scandal: In 2009, NSA intercepted a phone call between her & an agent of Israeli govt, where she allegedly agreed to lobby the Justice Dept to reduce/drop criminal charges on 2 employees of AIPAC in exchange for support for her campaign to chair the House Intelligence Committee. Alberto Gonzales, Attorney General at the time, blocked Justice Dept lawyers from investigating because the Bush admin needed her to support their warrantless wiretapping program that got exposed later (she never got charged, but Pelosi denied her to chair the House intelligence committee although she was in line).

- Chairs Roger’s Gardens here (?), and Regenesis in San Clemente. He’s been on the board of different pharmaceutical companies.

Ming Hsieh (Life Trustee)
- Billionaire Chinese-born American entrepreneur. Founder of Cogent Systems in 1990.
- BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from USC (came from China).
- Cogent received numerous government contracts including the Dept. of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Prisons, FBI and Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
- Was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2015.
- In 2006, donated $35 million to USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering’s Dept. of Electrical Engineering, it was renamed the USC Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering.
- In 2010, he donated $50 million to USC for cancer research.
Tamara Hughes Gustavson (Life Trustee)
- Trustee & largest shareholder, Public Storage. It says she’s an “American Billionaire.” She’s the daughter of Wayne Hughes, founder of Public Storage (who is a Life Trustee).
- BS from USC in Public Affairs. Married with 2 children.
- Used to work for her dad but quit to raise her kids in 2003

Ray R. Irani (Life Trustee, wife is GHADA
- Former Chairman & CEO of Occidental Petroleum. Now is CEO of Ray Investments.
- Worked at Oxy for over 20 years, was named successor by Armand Hammer. Under him, Oxy grew to become the nation’s 4th largest oil & gas company. Bad Ass!
- Born in Lebanon. BS from the American Univ of Beirut, Ph.D. in Chemistry from USC.
- Holds 150 patents, awarded the chevalier of the French National Order of the Legion of Honor, the highest award given by the French govt to citizens & foreigners.
- Retired as CEO in 2011 after the CA State Teachers’ Retirement System & Relational Investors, two major Oxy Investors, objected to Oxy’s compensation policies and wanted to replace long-term board members. They protested Irani’s salary which was major (his compensation exceeded Rex Tillerson of Exxon Mobil, lots of scandal with that).
- Served on boards of the American Petroleum Institute, Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation, The Wynn Resorts, member of the U.S.-Russian Business Council, the Los Angeles Town Hall and the Los Angeles World Affairs Council.
- Donated $20 million toward the residential college at USC Village named after him & mom.
- Hold 2 faulty chairs, the Ghada Irani Chair at Keck & another at the Engineering school in his name. Also, the Ray R. Irani Hall at USC Chemistry Dept.
Glorya Kaufman (Life Trustee)
- Philanthropist. Widow of Donald Bruce Kaufman, who with Eli Broad co-founded Kaufman & Broad, now known as KB Home. Broad’s wife, Edythe is her first cousin.
- In 2011, donated millions to USC to establish the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, and the construction of the Glorya Kaufman International Dance Center.
- Founder of the Glorya Kaufman Dance Foundation
