When and What was the Truman Docterine?
12th March 1947 and it was Trumans idea that to restrict the rapid spread of communism he would need to be forceful and keep threats in Turkey and Greece.
What defines a republican?
Associated with minimal government intervention, low taxes and conservative policies.
What defines a democrat?
Associated with the ideas of civil rights and progressive reform with trade unions etc.
What are the three sections to the Federal Government?
Legislature, Executive and Judiciary.
What does the Legislature section do?
The Senate and House of representatives both pass laws and keep check on the president but each law has to cross both houses.
What is the Exectutive Section?
President leads foreign policy and controls the Armed forces. The executive branch is made up of the cabinet and the vice president.
What is the Judiciary system?
They apply and interpret laws. Made up of the district courts > Court of Appeals > Supreme Court.

Laissez-faire?
Let-do, a popular republican policy to leave the country to run itself.
What was the Bonus Army?
Veterans were promised a bonus calculated on their years of service. As soon as the veteran came around many veterans asked for their money, as the government couldn’t afford to pay the veterans many protested in Washington.
What was the New Deal and who brought it in?
Franklin D Roosevelt and it was a new democrat idea that the federal government will do whatever in their power to fix America after the great depression and get more rights to change America completely.
What was the NRA?
