A

A

In 1492, Christopher Columbus took a trip west across the Atlantic Ocean. He thought he was in India when he hit the land, so he called the Native Americans “Indians”. The explorers realized they found a “New World” and began establishing colonies here.

A

With the addition of the Western territory, the US gained natural resources. These were used to manufacture machines.
