-Primaries are also good as they allow for certain issues to be raised and can help test different candidates policies—–> Holding candidates accountable —–> Increase in competition of candidates.

-They are bad due to the timing of each one as in some cases the first primaries are more influential then the others.This is because if there is couple of states left to decide a cadidate this could just be unpowerful votes due to nominations already being decided.
