Q

In which country is the executive more accountable to the legislature?

A

Firstly I think that the UK is more accountable due to the fusion of powers and their being PMQS. 5 questions asked as seen by kier starmer 2024 presurre on sunak

Secondly UK is also more accountable due to their being Select commitees which are permanent and involves the questioning of pm and give reports to government.

Finally I disagree and that US is more accountable due to checks and balances of congress like overriding a presidential veto and so li it presidential legislation. This is evident through obama sandy hook gun reform in 2012 which wasrejected by congress and also trump mexican boarder wall 2018.
