A

Common
Self-limiting
Infection of the middle ear that causes inflammation (redness and swelling) and a build-up of fluid behind the eardrum
Spontaneous rupture of the drum
Typically 3 days of symptoms but can last up to 7

Severe uni and bi lateral = >6 months, severe pain >48hrs
