An 80-year-old male with previous history Benign Prostate Enlargement, admitted with history of chronic urinary retention. A size 16 Fr catheter was inserted, which drained 900 mls of clear urine. His blood tests showed deranged renal function and bilateral hydronephrosis seen on ultrasound scan of urinary tract.
He had multiple comorbidities and recently had stroke and is on anticoagulant for Atrial fibrillation.
What should be best management option for his condition?
long term catheter (can be intermittent first of all)
