  • Taxes reduced in these areas
  • The goal being for new businesses to move in
  • successful in part however it lead to businesses to relocating to the Zone
  • examples include Birmingham

  • They focused on:
    • physical redevelopment of derelict land
    • securing private capital and private sector expertise in the redevelopment of the area
