Infection of middle ear that causes inflammation and build up and fluid behind the ear drum
What are symptoms of otitis media?
Earache High temperature Vomiting Lack of energy Affected hearing
What is glue ear?
Otitis media with effusion
When should antibiotics be used to treat an ear infection?
If severe unilateral and bilateral in a child <6 months if in severe pain >48h or non-severe bilateral in 6-23 months
