  2. More commonly awakens patients at night
    - Following a meal, the pylorus closes – relieves duodenal ulcers

  1. Biphosphonates
  2. Smoking strongly linked also, slows mucosal healing
  3. Burns lead can lead to curling ulcer
  4. More common with age (however this may be to increased NSAID usage)
  5. Head Trauma to can lead to cushing ulcer
  6. Zollinger Ellison syndrome
