A
- Pulls inner portion of eyebrows upward
- Produces oblique shape to eyebrows
- Produces or deepens wrinkles skin in forehead horizontally
- Outer eyebrows may move medially towers center

A
- Pulls lateral portion of eyebrows up
- Produces arched eyebrow shape
- Causes lateral portion of the eye cover fold to be stretches upwards
- Causes wrinkles above lateral eyebrow
- Medial portion of eyebrow may move also

A
- Widens the eye aperture
- Raises upper eyelid, some or all disappear from view
- More of the upper portion of eye is exposed
- Shape of upper rim of eye changes
- Eyes seem staring, or as if they are protruding
- Lower eyelid raises minutely in extreme AU 5

AU 7 Appearance Changes
A
- Tightens Eyelids
- Narrows eye aperture
- May be more apparent in low than upper eyelid
- Raises lower eye lid to cover more than usual
- Raised lower lid becomes less curved downwards
- Bulge appears in lower lid
- Lower lid furrow becomes more evident
- Appears as squint at maximum

Orbicularis Oculi (pars palpebralis)

AU 6 Appearance Changes
A
- Draws skin towards the eye from the temple and cheeks
- Raises infraorbital triangle, lifting cheek upward
- Pushes skin surrounding eye towards the eye socket, which can narrow eye aperture, bag or wrinkle the skin below the eye, and push the eye cover fold down and/or change it’s shape
- May cause crows feet or wrinkles to appear, extending radially from the outer corners of the eye aperture
- Deepens lower eyelid furrow
- May lower lateral portion of the eyebrows
- If strong, may make evident nasolabial furrow, raise outer portion of lips, or deepen infraorbital furrow
