  4. Shape of upper rim of eye changes
  5. Eyes seem staring, or as if they are protruding
  6. Lower eyelid raises minutely in extreme AU 5

  1. Tightens Eyelids
  2. Narrows eye aperture
  3. May be more apparent in low than upper eyelid
  4. Raises lower eye lid to cover more than usual
  5. Raised lower lid becomes less curved downwards
  6. Bulge appears in lower lid
  7. Lower lid furrow becomes more evident
  8. Appears as squint at maximum

AU 6 Appearance Changes

A
  1. Draws skin towards the eye from the temple and cheeks
  2. Raises infraorbital triangle, lifting cheek upward
  3. Pushes skin surrounding eye towards the eye socket, which can narrow eye aperture, bag or wrinkle the skin below the eye, and push the eye cover fold down and/or change it’s shape
  4. May cause crows feet or wrinkles to appear, extending radially from the outer corners of the eye aperture
  5. Deepens lower eyelid furrow
  6. May lower lateral portion of the eyebrows
  7. If strong, may make evident nasolabial furrow, raise outer portion of lips, or deepen infraorbital furrow
