AU 4 + 5 Appearance Changes

A
  1. Lowers inner and central port of eyebrows
  2. Pulls the eyebrows closer together
  3. Produces wrinkles between eyebrows and root of nose
  4. Lowering of eye cover fold from AU 4 and lifting of eyelid in AU 5. Result is a compromise in eye aperture.
  5. Oblique wrinkle or bulge above eyebrows
  6. Raises upper eyelid so some or all has disapeared from view
  7. Sclera may become more present because of AU 5, or less because of AU 4
  8. May change shape of upper eye rim
  9. May give appearance of harsh stare

AU 5 + 7 Appearance Changes

A
  1. Raises the upper, some may disappear from view
  2. Sclera may become more present because of AU 5
  3. Shape of upper rim of eye changes
  4. May appearing staring, as is eyes are protruding
  5. Tightens lower eye lid, making it raise or less curved downward
  6. Can bulge skin below eye
  7. Pulls skin below eye up and toward inner corner of eye
  8. Lower lid furrow more evident
  9. AU 5 widens eye aperture, AU 7 narrows it, resulting in a compromise

  1. Pulls medial portion of eyebrows up and together
  2. Makes oblique eyebrows, maybe dip in center
  3. Pulls up on mid to inner portion of the eyebrows
  4. Pulls lateral eyebrow down
  5. Causes wrinkles in center of forehead
  6. May cause vertical wrinkles between eyebrows
  7. May causes wrinkle or bulge from mid forehead to inner brow area
