A
When propagating light is like a wave. When being emitted or absorbed it is like a particle.

What is thermal radiation?
A
The mixture of wavelength electromagnetic radiation emitted by a body due it the thermal motion of its molecules.

What is a wave front?
A
The locus of all adjacent points such that the phase of vibration is the same.

What is a ray?
A
In particle theory of light it is the path of a particle. In the wave theory of light is the the direction of travel of the wave.
