Q

what are the lines in a technical drawing? what do they look like? what are they for?

A
  • ligne de contour visible (straight, bold line) - indicate contours and visible details of the object.
  • ligne de contour cache (dotted lines) - indicate hidden contours and details of an object
-ligne d’axe (line in the middle,) - indicates the symmetry of an object
  • ligne de cotes (continuous line with arrows) - indicates the limit of a segment
-ligne d’attache (two small lines) - indicates extremities of the ‘ligne de cotes’

Q

what is an organe recpeteur?

A

receives the mouvement

15
Q

what is an organe intermediaire?

A

part of a system that communicates the action of an organe moteur onto the organe receveur

16
Q

what is a reversible mechanism?

A

when the organe moteur and the organe receveur can switch and the mechanism will still function

17
Q

what are the five different systems of TRANSMISSION? also, are they reversible or not?

A
  • l’engrenage/system a roues dentees (reversible)
  • la chaine et les roues dentees (reversible)
  • la roue et la vis sans fin (non reversible)
  • les roues de friction (reversible)
  • la courie et les poulies (reversible)
18
Q

what are the five different systems of TRANSFORMATION? also, are they reversible or not?

A
  • pignon et creamlier (reversible)
  • vis ecrou (non reversible)
  • le systeme came et tige-guidee (non reversible)
  • le system bielle-manivelle (reversible)
19
Q

what are the 5 properties of a material?

A
  • durete
  • ductilie
  • malleabilite
  • elasticite
  • resistance a la corrosion (rouille)
20
Q

what is durete?

A

capacity to resist deformation when penetrated by a hard body

21
Q

what is ducilite?

A

capacity to be stretched without rupturing from a force of traction

22
Q

what is malleabilite?

A

capacity to bend without breaking and staying in that form

23
Q

what is elasticite?

A

capacity of an object to deform and then retake its initial form

24
Q

what is resistance a la corrosion?

A

capacity to resist chemical changes that can cause corrosion
