Causation - all things are caused by another thing therefore something caused the first thing
Contingency - humans cannot exist without a necessary being who created everything
Perfection - varying degrees of perfection; god is perfect
Intelligent being - order to universe therefore designer must be intelligent
Necessary being
Any being that has and will always exist
Contingent being
Any being that couldn’t have existed
Empiricism
Philosophical position that all human knowledge comes from experience especially sensory
Figurative language
Symbolic imagery for deeper truth
Deism
Belief that god exists and created the world but is not active in the universe or human life
