Continuationist
Believes Holy Spirit is giving individuals supernatural spiritual gifts today just as He did to individuals in the early church
Cessassionist
Believes that Holy Spirit is no longer giving individuals supernatural spiritual gifts
Continuationist support
1) Great Commissions includes the promise of such signs
2) Early church spread the gospel accompanied by such signs
3) God does not revoke gifts once he gives them
4) The supernatural gift will continue until the return of Christ
Cessassionist Support
1) A real manifestation of a supernatural gift is undeniable
2) Not all claims of miracles or revelation are legitimate
3) Satan can deceive using signs and wonders
4) Use of the supernatural gifts waned even during early church
