A civil rights activist who led to the civil rights act movement. He led peacefully and with nonviolence. He was very successful
Nelson mandela
An activist in Africa who led the black resistance and wanted to remove apartheid. He was known for his peaceful protest.
Green revolution
A long term response to the world hunger issue.Scientist developed new types of grain with better resistance to mother nature. They were developed by crossbreeding and genetic engineering. This caused issues for small poor farmers cause they couldn’t afford the new fertilizers and pesticides.
Medical Innovations.
Medicine created a long way for humans to live. Antibiotics were created to help cure bacterial infections. Reliable birth control was created which helped reduce fertility rates. Vaccines were created helping prevent sickness all and all. According to the World Health organization it prevented 3 million deaths worldwide.
Covid-19 pandemic
The pandemic was covid-19 a strong airborne disease that was the disease spread and still spreads very quickly and affected the worlds economy and social and everyday life. There was a vaccine created, not after the hospitals overflowed and the world was in chaos.
Diseases of Poverty
Poverty stricken countries have been and still are more likely to have disease as more main causes of death. For example death from HIV, Malaria, and tuberculosis. This is due to poor working or housing conditions, contaminated water and food, and no access to medicine.
Diseases of longevity
Diseases due to living longer lives. For example Heart disease, where heart starts to fail as people get older, and people found things such as heart transplant with artificial hearts. Another is alzheimer’s, where the brain starts forgetting things while the body under functions.
Causes of environmental change
Our environment has gotten worse with time due to things such as population growth, the more people there are the more pollution and trash etc But mostly use of more resources. Another is urbanization as cities and suburbs are being built there is deforestation going on. Lastly globalization and industrialization are creating more pollution.
Economic Liberalization
When a countries economy opens up, For example in Chile they started to turn to a free market approach

A chinese leader where underneath him economy moved away from equality and more to the promotion of economic growth believeing that ¨some people should get rich first¨. with these economic reforms people wanted political reforms as well.
Knowledge economy
Economy where knowledge of technology communications and information is used to build economy. Where knowledge is distributed and used to build
World Trade Organization (include anti- WTO protests)
Organization that controls majority of trade globally. This sparked controversy because the organization favored corporate more so . This led to anti- world trade organization protests because people believed that WTO didn’t care about their welfare.
Multinational Corporations
Corporatons that legally is connected to a country but also develops and sells trade in other countries. BEIC and DEIC are the earliest example of this

UN declaration of human rights
The UN speaking on the fact that everyone should get human rights, as they were always for human rights as everyone knows. They created the unicef to helpwith hunger. They were helping against abuse, genocide, war cirmes, womens oppression.
