Why was the Treaty of Versailles a great cause of WWII than military expansion?

A

It led to German anger against how weak they became as a result of the Treaty of Versailles which led to Hitler coming into power and then expanding through the military. Just like with WWI, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was a short-term cause but long before that, unease and anger had already been simmering.
