Austria-Hungary on Serbia with the help of Germany who declared war on Russia, then on France, Britain declared war on Germany, and Austria declared war on Russia

Secret alliance between Britain, France, and Russia
Effects of WWI
Downfall of the Russian, Ottoman, Austria-Hungary, and German empires, redrew maps of Europe/Mid. East with newly formed countries out of Ottoman Empire/Austria-Hungary territory, Germany lost all its overseas colonies to the Allies, and the beginning of the end of colonialism
Self-Determination
The nationalistic idea that people of the same ethnicity/language, culture, and political ideals should be united and become an independent nation-state
