It was peace treaty between United States and Britain that ended american revolutionary war.

What was the Louisiana Purchase?
The Louisiana land was originally claimed by France, having France so close to America worried president Jefferson so he convinced Congress to approve 2 million dollars to buy the city of New Orleans, and because France was at war with Britain they offered to sell Louisiana for 15 million dollars.

what was the Florida cession?
After the successful purchase of the Louisiana territory Thomas Jefferson wanted The Spanish colony of Florida, so he offered to buy Florida but Spain refused, Later on president James Monroe told Spain to either govern their colony properly or abandon it, to avoid war Spain seceded and the u.s got the land.
What was she Texas Annexation?
Texas wanted to join the United States but not everyone agreed, many were eager for Texas to join as a state, the idea of manifest destiny was going around and many were excited to expand their territory, not everyone wanted to add Texas but adding this land would increase the size and Texas still had problems of their own. after 9 years Texas was finally annexed as a state.

What was the Oregon treaty?
The Oregon territory was a large portion of California , during the presidential debate James Polk promised he would annex all of Oregon, but when elected he didn’t want to risk war. In the Oregon treaty 1846 Britain and The u.s came to a compromise that the Oregon territory would be separated.

What was the Gadsden purchase?
One last little piece of land was left for the United States to buy. Mexico still owned a strip of flat land in current day Arizona and New Mexico . The land was perfect for a railroad route through the Rocky Mountains. In an agreement the United States brought the land for 10 million dollars.
