Group of WWI vets who, early in 1932, congregated at the capital to ask the government for early payment of money due to be received in 1945, treated roughly by US troops, causing the President to lose more support

President of the United States elected in 1932 who instilled hope in the American people and guided the nation through the Great Depression
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Song played at the Democratic National Convention in 1932 when the delegates chose a promising candidate to run for the presidency later that year. When that candidate won the presidency, it became the theme song of the Democratic Party
