Hyperlipidemia- plaque in arteries
S/s htn, weak/ absent pulses, prolong cap refill
Hypertension
Meds: arb valstartan
Report dizzy monitor kidney function
Volume thiazide- look diuretic- replace k, daily eight report muscle weakness/ diizs
K sparing diuretic no increasing ase on k in diet
Non pharm: relax decrease stress
Complication
Hypertensive crisis bp 180/120!can cause blurred vision, SOB, epitaxial, chest pain, severe headache
peripheral vascular disease
Alterations to blood flow through arteries/veins as a result of arthrosclerosis.
Peripheral artery blood not getting to area effectively dangle legs.
Peripheral Venus blood not leaving area, effectively elevate legs
embolism
S/S; calf/growing pain with sudden onset of swelling, hardness, warmth.
Risks; mobility, oral contraceptives
Burgers disease
disruption of blood flow due to swelling inflammation of vessels.
Unknown calls but associated with smoking
Varicose veins
Decrease Venus return so veins become distended.
Treatment, exercise, elevation, elastic compression stockings
