Unit 6 Flashcards
What is circumference, how do you calculate it?
Circumference is the distance around the circle. To calculate circumference, you do diameter multiplied by pi.
What is diameter, and how do you calculate it?
Diameter is the distance across the circle through the center. To calculate diameter, you do radius multiplied by 2.
What is radius, and how do you calculate it?
Radius is the distance from the center of the circle to the edge. To calculate radius, you do diameter divided by 2.
How do you calculate the area of a circle?
To calculate the area of a circle, you do pi multiplied by radius squared.
How do you calculate the volume of a circle?
To calculate the volume of a circle, you do pi x radius squared x height.
How do you find the curved surface area of a cylinder? How do you find the total surface area?
To find the curved SA of a cylinder, you do 2 x pi x radius x height. To find the total SA, you do 2 x pi x radius2 + 2 x pi x radius x height.
