UNIT 6 Flashcards
The stages of a survey
- Clear definition of the main goals
- Definition of the variables that intervene in the survey
- Submission of the questionnaire
- Collection and codification of data
- Analysis of data
Phase 2:
- The size of the universe (in our case the total number of users of our company)
- The error or margin of inaccuracy allowed (the researcher defines this variable)
- The level of confidence required in the survey (the researcher defines this variable)
- The finite or infinite character of the population. Finite populations are considered populations of less than 100,000 individuals and infinite populations to those greater than 100,000.
- The probabilities of taking an individual at random, this may or may not meet the parameter analyzed in the survey (in our case satisfaction with the website of the company)
- The formulas to be applied in each case
Finite populations
Less than 100,000 individuals
Infinite populations
More than 100,000 individuals
Phase 1
The survey can help achieve two interesting objectives:
1- check the degree of knowledge the customers have
2- know the perception they have of the quality of in this case a website, and possible improvements
N
The size of the population
d
The margin of inaccuracy allowed
Maximun 3%–> d=0.03
Z
The level of confidence required for the survey
The survey must explain at least 95% of the cases analyzed
P
The probability that an individual meets the conditions analyzed
Q
The probability that an individual does not comply with the conditions analyzed
P and Q when we don’t know the data
P+Q=1
P=Q=0.5
Phase 2
- creating the survey
- design, structure
- explanation of the objectives and instructions
- not too long
- order of the questions
- filter questions and control questions
Filter questions
We can segment the respondents according to a certain criterion
Control questions
Validate that some of the questions have been answered with sincerity
