- arrange numbers from smallest to biggest
- find the middle number (in a list of 11 it would be position 6 since that would leave 5 before & 5 after
- find the data in the middle position…that is the median

- arrange numbers from smallest to biggest
- find which number is listed the most
- that number is the mode

- simply add all the numbers up
- then divide that subtotal by the total numbers
