What is “Tragedy of Commons”?
A
The tragedy lies in the fact that when no one person owns the resource everyone is open to taking from it even if it is beyond their fair share or not sustainable.

What is ore, metals, and reserves?
A
Ore is the concentrated accumulations of minerals from which valuable materials can be extracted -> Metals!!!
Metals are elements that can conduct electricity, heat, energy, etc.
Reserve is the known quantity of a resource that can be recovered.

What is IPM?
A
Integrated pest management
A combination of methods used to effectively control pest species while minimizing the disruption to the environment.

What are some examples of IPM?
A
- crop rotation and intercropping
- use of pest resistant varieties
- create habitats for the pests predator
- limit pesticides when necessary
