He was the Spanish military governor of Louisiana and he helped the Americans by giving money and supplies, allowing them to use posts in New Orleans, and leading Spanish troops against the British
What area did Stephen F. Austin choose for his colony and why?
An area between the Brazos and Colorado Rivers because it had a warm climate, access to water, and rich soil.
