strep throat

bacterial infection of the throat and tonsils caused by streptococcal bacteria

  • sudden severe sore throat

  • swollen tonsils and lymph nodes (glands)

    *highly contagious
    • infectious droplets
    • sharing food/drink
  • incubation period(time exposed to time you experience symptoms)= 2-5 days
