Q

Why does social justice require solidarity and charity?

A

Solidarity brings people together and teaches the community to rely on each other. Charily encourages the community to share what they have with others. Both solidarity and charity work hand in hand for the betterment of society. Social justice is when everyone receives equal economic, political, and social rights. By working together as a community, or on a larger scale, society, social justice can be achieved. Through solidarity, communities will strengthen and will be able to rely on each other. Through charity, generosity will turn to a common gesture, encouraging others to do the same.

Q

Humans are born good - a result of Natural Law. How does this connect to grace and forgiveness?

A

The Natural Law states that everything has a purpose as seen through its design. God created humans to be good by nature however, we were also given free will. Humans have the choice between choosing wrong and right. Because of human intellect, this leads to sin. Regardless of sin, God is willing to forgive and to show his Grace despite the little we give back to him. His forgiveness and grace makes us clean and new thus reviving our original state of goodness.
