A

2 Parables

A

The Lost Sheep:
- A shepherd had 100 sheep and 1 was lost. The shepherd left his other 99 sheep to find the 1.

The Good Samaritan:
- A Jewish man was met with robbers who stripped his clothes, beat him, and left him injured. Both a priest and Levite walked past the man without doing anything. He was about to die until a Samaritan came to help despite the existing feud between Jews and Samaritans. He wound up the injuries and took him to an inn to take care of him.

2 Miracles

A

The Feeding of the 5000 (Nature Miracle)
- There were 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish but 5000 people to feed. Jesus took the food and looked up to God to give thanks. The food multiplied and no one was left hungry.

Jesus Heals a Blind Man at Bethsaida (Healing Miracle)
- The villagers ask Jesus to heal a blind man at Bethsaida. Jesus takes the man outside of the village and spit in his eyes, restoring his vision. Jesus tells the man not to go back into the village because because he did not want anyone to see.

What is the Apostolic Tradition?

A

Apostolic refers to the authority or succession of the apostles in the church. It’s anything related to the apostles and their teachings in the early church.

Apostolic Tradition refers to the teachings, practices, and beliefs that were passed down by the apostles and early successors in the early church. Examples include the teachings of faith, worship, sacraments, and moral living.
