What are feedback loops?
A
They allow organisms to maintain homeostasis and respond to internal external environmental changes

What are negative feedback loops?
A
Processes that return the system to its set point/baseline.

A
Processes that amplify responses and modify the baseline

What can mutations/changes in STP’s do?
A
They alter the transduction of a signal, which can result in cancer. Chemicals interfere, activating or inhibiting pathway.

A
Diabetes, blood glucose is maintained negatively, insulin activates a cascade response.
