- agriculture, fisheries and water
- education and health
- building resilience
- gender equality/empowering women and girls

- infrastructure, trade facilitation and international competitiveness
importance of agriculture, fisheries and water
plays important role in economic growth and poverty reduction achieving SDG 2
priorities of Australia’s investment in gender equality includes
- promoting women’s economic empowerment
- ending violence against women and girls
to improve economic growth, investment in infrastructure includes
- improved road networks
- increased access to water and sanitation
- reliable energy supply
the aim of aid investment for improving infrastructure will focus on
- mobilising private sector to finance/deliver infrastructure to meet needs of the region
- enhancing trade/connectivity throughout the region
the focus of the Aus aid program for building resilience includes
- saving lives, alleviating human suffering and enhancing human dignity
- working closer with partner governments to support their capacity to plan for/manage disasters
the investments in education target 4 strategic priorities, these include:

- learning for all
- universal participation
- skills for prosperity
