What do ECGs stand for and what do they do?
Electrocardiogram (measures signals from atrium to ventricles)
What are QRS complexes?
heartrate:
Q before big spike
R peak
S dip

How do you calculate interbeat intervals?
Calculating time in millis b/t each R peak and average # for period of interest
What is systolic blood pressure?
Heartbeat that is actively pushing blood through arteries
What is diaslotic blood pressure?
B/t heartbeats
What is electrodermal activity?
Sweat increase for sympathetic system
What is pure autonomic failure?
What is an example of it?
When autonomic NS fails to influence body
Stand up and faint
What is locked-in syndrome?
Lose all output from brain-muscles and autonomic NS but can still receive sensations
What is autonomic specificity?
Diff emotions are association with diff organ activity
