Ideologies that goes against the values, belief, and principles of liberalism.
Illiberal
One person has authority over the whole country.
Authoritarianism
Extreme form of authoritarianism. Government tries to gain control of your thoughts and actions.
Totalitarianism
Techniques of an authoritarian regime include:
1) Vision
2) Controlled Participation
3) Propaganda
4) Indoctrination
5) Censorship of the Media
6) Secret Police
7) The Purge
8) Use of Scapegoats
9) Cult of Leadership
Led by Vladimir Lenin (the Red Army) who were against classical liberal ideology. (Communists)
Bolsheviks
Command economy where all economic systems are controlled by government in Soviet Russia.
War Communism
Peasant farmers who had enough wealth to own land. They were forced by the communists to hand over their land and many were killed.
Kulaks
Lenin’s introduction to large industries that the state controlled. Farming and small businesses however would remain private.
New Economic Policy (1921 - Lenin)
Replaced the NEP in 1928. Stalin’s plans on how the government would control the economy. The achievements included: Modernization, Industrialization, Collectivization, Military Capacity.
Five- Year Plans (Stalin)
Attempt to find a new and efficient way to produce crops. Peasant farmers (Kulaks) were forced to give up their land and work for an even bigger organization controlled by the government.

An ideology with authoritarian government which rejects all other ideologies. Belief of elites. Citizens are forced to believe what the leader believes in as good.
Fascism
AKA “National Socialism” NOT Socialist It is a fascist ideology by Adolf Hitler based on ideas of national power and superior race.
Nazism
The kind of people Hitler deemed acceptable and above other races. (Pale skin, blonde hair, blue eyes.) Based on pseudoscience.
Aryan Race
Controlled human reproduction so desirable genetic traits are encouraged and undesirable traits eliminated.
