A

What does NICE stand for? What is their role?

A

National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. Guidelines and quality standards are not mandatory. They can be used for a wide range of purposes both locally and nationally. To improve the quality of health and care services.

A

Health and Care Professions Council. The main purpose is to protect the public. They do this by setting and maintaining standards of proficiency and conduct for the professions it regulates.

A

Early Years Foundation Stage. Sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years.

A

A system that is set up by the government to protect the health and well-being of it’s people especially those with social and financial needs.

Why was the welfare state introduced?

A

William Beveridge found that people in working class were still in poverty.

What is the liberal reforms?

A

A series acts of social legislation passed by the British Liberal Party. They represent the emergence of the modern welfare. It demonstrates the split between modern liberalism and classical liberalism.
