What were the names of the three leaders involved in the treaty?
French PM George Clemenceau, US PM Woodrow Wilson and British PM David Lloyd George.
What were the aims of George Clemenceau?
He wanted to punish Germany and make them weaker.
What were the aims of Woodrow Wilson?
Wanted Germany to stay strong and be able to defend from Russia and communism.
What were the aims of David Lloyd George?
He had the middle of the two views. Personally wanted a stronger Germany however British people wanted a harsher punishment for Germany.
Name three ideas raised in the treaty.
League of Nations, reparations (money paid by Germany to rebuild damage from the war), banned from alliances and land, colonies and weapons taken away.
Where was the treaty signed?
The palace of Versailles.
What three lands did Germany lose to the treaty ?
The Polish corridor, Lorraine, Alsace and Saar.
How did the German citizens feel towards the treaty?
Angry, humiliated and wanted revenge.
