O: M part - L1-L3 vertebral bodies, IV disks, and ALL as R and L crura; L parts - L and M arcuate ligaments
I: central tendon
Inn: phrenic n. (C3-C5, C plexus)
A: principle muscle of respiration (diaphragmatic and thoracic breathing); aids in compressing abdominal viscera (abdominal press)
