Unit 3 section 3-1 to 3-7 Flashcards
Polygon-many sides?
Closed plane figure with at least 3 sides that are segments. The sides intersect only at their endpoints, and no adjacent sides are collinear.
Vertices?
The points of intersection
Interior and exterior of the polygon?
The inside and outside of a polygon.
Sides?
The segments making up the polygon.
Diagonal of a polygon?
A segment that connects the two nonconsecutive vertices.
Convex of a polygon?
When all the diagonals are in the interior of the polygon.
Concave polygon?
When all the diagonals are in the exterior of a polygon.
Equilateral polygon?
The lengths of all the segments of a polygon are congruent.
Equiangular polygon?
The angle measures of all the segments of a polygon are congruent.
Regular polygon?
All side and all angles of a polygon are congruent.
