  2. Mobility: right to leave, enter and remain in Canada, residency in provinces
  3. Legal: right to life, liberty, and security against unreasonable search and seizure/unfair detainment, right of informed reason for arrest
  4. Equality: Equality before the law, and equal protection without discrimination

What is the Indian Act?

A

Indian Act (1876) was an agreement for land and citizenship status between the government and Indigenous groups. It was passed by Europeans with a superiority complex, and it limits the rights/freedoms of Indigenous people to this day.
